What is the Mr. Bangkok Card?

The Mr. Bangkok Insider Card is an exclusive membership for people who want to experience Bangkok in a more curated way – with special privileges at selected partners, invitations to selected events and access to a local lifestyle community.

Mr. Bangkok and the Insider Card are currently in their building phase in Bangkok. The partner network and event calendar are being rolled out step by step and will grow continuously over the coming months.

How can I get one of the limited Mr. Bangkok Cards?

The number of Mr. Bangkok Insider Cards is limited.

You can apply for a card via an online form on our website once applications open. Incoming applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis and applicants receive a reply by e-mail. During the current building phase, we onboard new members in small, carefully selected batches.

How do I receive my card if my application is successful?

If your application is accepted and you complete the membership process on our website:

you will be able to download your personal digital Insider Card for your smartphone wallet, and
later on, you will receive a high-quality physical card by post once production and logistics are fully in place.

You can access and re-download your digital card at any time via your member area.

Which benefits and invitations do I get with the card?

Insider Card members receive:

special privileges and advantages at selected partners in Bangkok
access to a growing local network
invitations to events, tastings, openings and selected experiences that are communicated directly to members

How much does the membership cost?

The Mr. Bangkok Insider Card is available for an annual membership fee of 5,000 THB.

Details on payment methods (e.g. credit card and other common options) as well as all contractual terms will be displayed clearly during the application and checkout process. The membership is designed as a yearly membership with the option to cancel according to the terms and conditions.

How can I use the card and enjoy all benefits and invitations?

How often can I use the benefits with my card?

Unless otherwise stated in the details of a specific benefit, you can usually use your card – and the corresponding advantage – as often as you like.

There is no general limit on how many events you can attend. For some events, capacities may be restricted; full information is always provided to members in advance.

Do the benefits only apply to the cardholder, or also to a guest?

In general, the Mr. Bangkok Insider Card is personalised and not transferable. Benefits and invitations are always valid for the cardholder.

Many benefits, however, are also valid for at least one accompanying person – this is shown on the detail page of the respective benefit. Event invitations usually include the cardholder plus one guest, but there may be exceptions for very small or high-demand events.

Can I lend my card to friends?

No.
The Mr. Bangkok Insider Card is strictly personal and cannot be transferred or lent to other people.

If the card is misused or passed on, Mr. Bangkok reserves the right to terminate the membership with immediate effect. In such a case, the card must be returned and access will be blocked.

Can I refer additional members?

Yes, active cardholders will be able to recommend further members.

Mr. Bangkok is planning a “Refer a Friend” programme that will allow you to invite suitable new members into the community and be rewarded when they are accepted. Details of the programme, including any credits or discounts on future membership fees, will be communicated to cardholders in the member area once the programme launches.

How long is my card valid and how can I cancel my membership?

Your Mr. Bangkok Insider Card and membership remain valid as long as you wish to be part of the community.

In principle, the membership is yearly and is renewed for another year unless you cancel in accordance with the terms and conditions. Further details on notice periods and renewal can be found in the T&Cs.

You will be able to cancel your membership easily at any time via your member area or via a dedicated cancellation link that will be provided.

What happens if I lose my card?

Please report the loss immediately via the official support contact on our website so that your card can be blocked.

You will then receive information on the next steps. A new digital card can be issued; the conditions for replacing a physical card (including any possible fee) will be communicated transparently. Details can also be found in the terms and conditions.

Can companies also obtain Mr. Bangkok Insider Cards for clients or employees?

Yes. If you are interested in a contingent of Mr. Bangkok Insider Cards for your company – for example for clients, employees or business partners – you can contact us via the dedicated B2B contact channel on our website.

The Mr. Bangkok community consists of people who want to experience the city more consciously. For everyone who expects a little more from their time in Bangkok, the Mr. Bangkok Insider Card is being developed as a natural extension of the brand.

Where do your recommendations come from?

Recommendations are based on personal research, local knowledge and on-site visits wherever possible. We look for places with character, quality and a clear concept – from restaurants and street food to bars, rooftops, cafés, spas, hotels and selected experiences.

Over time, Mr. Bangkok will also prepare further lifestyle tips beyond food and drinks. If you are already a true Bangkok insider, you will be able to share your “hidden spots” and latest tips with us via a dedicated e-mail address.

Does the concept exist in other cities as well?

At the moment, Mr. Bangkok focuses fully on Bangkok.

The underlying concept – a curated city guide plus an exclusive membership – can in principle be transferred to other cities. If and when that happens, it will be announced officially. Until then, the centre of everything remains one city: Bangkok.
