Everyday mall in Bangkok’s Rama 9 “new CBD” with Central Department Store, Tops, B2S, PowerBuy and direct access to MRT Phra Ram 9.
Central Rama 9 is the everyday mall in Bangkok’s “new CBD” at the junction of Rama IX and Ratchadaphisek roads, directly above MRT Phra Ram 9. Surrounded by office towers, condos and Fortune Town across the road, it’s the place local workers and residents use for errands, groceries, quick meals and after-work shopping rather than big weekend outings.
The mall runs over multiple floors (plus basements connecting to the MRT) with a familiar Central mix: department store, supermarket, books, gadgets, sports, kids’ play areas and a cinema stacked in one compact complex.
The area around Central Rama 9 has turned into a business and condo hub – G Tower, Unilever House and several office blocks and residences sit within a few minutes’ walk.
Because the mall is physically linked to MRT Phra Ram 9 by an underground tunnel, it works perfectly for quick stops on your way to or from work, or for a simple “rainy day” destination if you’re staying in the neighbourhood.
The main anchor is now Central Department Store (previously Robinson), covering fashion, beauty, home and basics over several floors. Around it you’ll find familiar high-street names – H&M, Uniqlo, Muji and friends – plus shoe and accessory shops that make it easy to do a practical wardrobe refresh without leaving Rama 9.
On the lower levels, Tops Food Hall / Tops Market handles groceries, imported products and ready-to-eat counters, backed up by convenience-format Tops Daily.
For books, stationery and creative bits, B2S and B2S Think Space are the main stops, while PowerBuy covers electronics and Supersports takes care of sportswear and equipment. It’s a very “sort your life out in one loop” kind of tenant mix.
