The newest Em District mall, mixing IKEA Sukhumvit, bold fashion, big dining zones and UOB Live arena by Benchasiri Park.
EMSPHERE is the newest member of the Em District beside Benchasiri Park, a short walk from BTS Phrom Phongvia the skywalk. Where Emporium feels classic and EmQuartier feels glassy and green, EMSPHERE pushes more into entertainment, events and “future retail” – loud façades, big media screens and a tenant mix aimed at younger, urban visitors.
At its core you get Thailand’s first downtown IKEA, a large-scale arena called UOB Live and several dense food and lifestyle zones stacked over six main levels.
EMSPHERE sits between Sukhumvit Road and Benchasiri Park, completing the triangle with Emporium and EmQuartier. Elevated walkways connect all three malls, so you can move between them without crossing traffic, and it’s easy to drop in before or after a park walk.
The design leans into big open halls, exhibition-style layouts and lots of vertical circulation – escalators and sightlines that constantly reveal new corners, pop-ups and installations as you move up and down.
One of the main anchors is IKEA Sukhumvit, the brand’s first true city-centre store in Thailand, with room sets, market hall, restaurant and views over the park. Around it, EMSPHERE mixes global lifestyle brands, fashion labels and sports/outdoor tenants, plus limited-edition and “hype” names that skew younger and trend-driven.
On the lower levels, Em Market and the supermarket / gourmet areas pull together restaurants, cafés and speciality food in one cluster – think Asian comfort food, Western spots, dessert bars and grab-and-go stalls in a bright, busy setting.
A big part of EMSPHERE’s identity is UOB Live, a 6,000-seat indoor arena for concerts and large shows, managed with AEG. It opened with an Ed Sheeran concert and now hosts both international tours and local acts.
Around the upper floors and roof, you’ll find bars, restaurants and event-focused spaces that keep the building active into the night – from cocktail spots overlooking the city to themed experiences and seasonal pop-ups.
