food truck festival #2

MBK Center

Classic Bangkok mega-mall with 2,000+ small shops, mobile & IT floors, souvenirs, food courts and a bridge to National Stadium BTS.

MBK Center is Bangkok’s classic “everything under one roof” mall: eight floors, thousands of small shops and a steady mix of locals, students and travellers hunting for deals. It sits at the Pathum Wan intersection, next to the National Stadium and just one junction away from Siam.

You come here less for polished luxury and more for bargain fashion, mobile phones, souvenirs and basic food courts– the kind of place where you can fix your phone, replace a suitcase and pick up last-minute gifts in one run.

Old-school mega-mall for browsing & bargains

MBK spreads over 8 storeys with around 2,000 shops, restaurants and service outlets, many of them small units grouped by theme. The atmosphere is denser and more chaotic than in the newer lifestyle malls – narrow aisles, lots of signage, plenty of repetition – but that’s exactly why people still love it.

From the second floor you can walk across a covered bridge to Siam Square, and National Stadium BTS connects directly into the complex via elevated walkways, so it’s easy to slot MBK into any Siam day.

What to shop here

Mobile & IT zone

MBK is famous for its Mobile & IT Zone, with more than 250 stores buying, selling and repairing phones, tablets and accessories on one of the upper floors. It’s a go-to for cases, power banks, screen protectors and quick repairs, plus a mix of new and second-hand devices.

Souvenir & fashion floors

Lower levels pack in budget clothing, small fashion stalls and gold & jewellery counters, while the dedicated souvenir zone handles OTOP products, snacks, textiles and hand-made items aimed at visitors. It’s not about curated labels – more about digging for T-shirts, bags, gifts and random finds at friendly prices.

Anchors, food & cinema

Scattered through the building you’ll find bigger anchors like Don Don Donki, Tops and Supersports, plus Food Legends by MBK and other food courts, cafés and an SF Cinema on the upper floors. It’s easy to pause for a cheap Thai plate or fast-food stop between floors.
