Bangkok’s highest rooftop combo: Sky Beach for open-air drinks and Ojo for golden-hour Mexican dining high above the city.
Sky Beach and Ojo share the very top of King Power Mahanakhon, so a night here feels more like a small vertical journey than a single bar visit. You step out of the lift into a world of light, glass and city views that don’t seem to end, then move between Ojo’s warm, Mexican-inspired dining room and the open-air deck of Sky Beach a few floors above.
On the 76th floor, Ojo wraps itself around the building in shades of gold and soft curves. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the city, and an outdoor terrace gives you that first hit of altitude with a drink in hand. The room feels a little surreal in the best way – part Mexico City, part Bangkok, part sci-fi movie set.
A few levels higher, Sky Beach strips things back to just air, glass and skyline. The bar sits on the 78th floor, officially the highest rooftop bar in Bangkok, with 360-degree views and a breeze that changes the mood as soon as you step outside. People wander to the railings for photos, sink into seats with shared plates and watch the BTS trains trace loops far below.
The combination of both spaces is what makes this stop special: dinner and early cocktails at Ojo, then a short elevator ride and you are suddenly in full open-air party mode.
Ojo runs as a full restaurant and bar. The menu plays with Mexican flavours – think ceviches, tacos, rich mains and bright salsas – reworked with a high-rise, Bangkok sensibility. The drinks lean heavily on tequila and mezcal, with signatures that pair smoky agave, citrus and chilli heat with views that are anything but subtle.
Sky Beach, on the other hand, is about easygoing rooftop drinking. Expect long drinks, spritzes, highballs and simple snacks – things that work well in the wind and make sense when you are more distracted by the view than by the glass in your hand. There’s usually a DJ, occasional events and a relaxed, first-come-first-served vibe once you’re past the ticketing rules earlier in the day.
Officially, tickets or cover charges apply before and after certain hours, so it’s worth checking the current policy when you plan your visit. Once you’re up, though, you can wander between the observation deck, Sky Beach and Ojo without watching the clock.
