Spectrum Lounge & Bar

Multi-level rooftop at Hyatt Regency Sukhumvit with indoor lounge, open terrace, strong cocktails and a skyline that wraps around you.

Spectrum Lounge & Bar spreads itself across three levels at the top of Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit. One floor feels like a private apartment with carpets, sofas and a band corner; the next is a terrace that wraps around the tower with tables under the open sky; above that, a compact rooftop bar gives you the full 360-degree skyline. It’s a rooftop for people who enjoy that hotel-bar mix of polished service, proper drinks and music that slowly builds as the night goes on.

Three levels of rooftop in one stop

Level 29 works as Spectrum’s “living room”: a residential-style lounge designed by Japanese studio Super Potato, with warm earth tones, soft carpet, wood and an indoor bar. Early in the evening it’s calm enough for a proper dinner; later it shifts into a low-lit music bar with live jazz or a DJ, depending on the night.

A flight of stairs takes you up to the main outdoor terrace on level 30. Here you get that classic Bangkok rooftop feeling: fresh air, city noise pushed far below and seating that wraps around the building so you can walk a full circle of views. Some guests stay close to the bar and DJ; others claim quieter corners for long conversations and photo rounds at sunset.

On the very top, level 31 functions as an additional vantage point and event space, used for parties, countdown nights and special occasions. When it’s open, you can step up for a slightly wider angle on the Sukhumvit lights before drifting back down to your table.

Western-leaning menu, crafted cocktails and nightly DJs

Spectrum’s food menu leans towards Western comfort with an upscale twist: wagyu beef tartare, grilled Kagoshima beef from the charcoal grill, truffle pasta, lobster dishes and bar bites that work well for sharing. It’s substantial enough that you can treat the place as a dinner restaurant with a rooftop built in, rather than just a bar with snacks.

Drinks range from classic cocktails and wine to a set of signatures that keep reappearing in photos and reviews. The Mad Mango mixes chili-infused vodka with mango and elderflower; Ginger Mark builds a long drink around Maker’s Mark and ginger; there are also lighter, citrus-forward options and a decent mocktail list like Mango Tango for nights off alcohol.

Music is part of the identity: there’s a DJ every night (with some nights featuring live jazz first), generally starting around early evening and running until close. The volume climbs as the hours pass, but the tiered design means you can lean into the party or stay a little removed from it, depending on where you sit.

Dress is smart casual – no flip-flops, sportswear or sleeveless shirts for men – which suits the setting and the mostly adult, after-work and date-night crowd.
