Terminal 21 Asok is Bangkok’s travel-themed mall at the Asok intersection – nine levels decorated like different cities, from Caribbean and Rome to Tokyo, London, Istanbul, San Francisco and Hollywood. Escalators climb multiple floors in one go, there are more than 600 shops, about 50 restaurants, a cinema and a Gourmet Market, and the whole complex connects directly to BTS Asok and MRT Sukhumvit by skywalk.
It’s fun, mid-sized and surprisingly efficient: you can shop, eat very cheaply at the food court, take photos on each themed floor and still be back on the train within minutes.
The concept is simple: each floor = a different destination. LG is the Caribbean, G is Rome, M is Paris, then come Tokyo (1F), London (2F), Istanbul (3F), San Francisco (4–5F) and Hollywood (6F).
Signage, props and even the toilets follow the theme – red phone boxes on London, lanterns and sumo statues on Tokyo, trams and a Golden Gate Bridge on San Francisco – so walking the mall feels a bit like moving through a movie set.
Because it sits directly at BTS Asok / MRT Sukhumvit, you can step off the train, cross the skybridge and be inside the mall in a few minutes, which makes it an easy stop on any Sukhumvit day.
The main fashion levels focus on young, mid-priced brands and small boutiques rather than heavy luxury: women’s fashion on Tokyo, menswear and streetwear on London, plus mixed accessories, shoes and jewellery on Istanbul.
It’s a good hunting ground for Thai designers, casual pieces, bags and gifts, with lots of side “streets” and small units that feel closer to a covered market than a typical glass-box mall.
Downstairs you’ll find Gourmet Market for groceries and snacks, while the top floor hosts an SF Cinema, fitness and a few service tenants. It’s not a mega entertainment complex, but enough to turn a shopping run into a full afternoon.
