Sky-high rooftop deck atop Banyan Tree Bangkok with 360° skyline views, polished hotel service and sunset cocktails that feel like a small event.
Perched on the 61st floor of Banyan Tree Bangkok, Vertigo & Moon Bar feels like the bow of a ship floating above Sathorn. You come here for big-screen Bangkok: warm evening air, 360-degree city lights and that moment when the sky shifts from orange to deep indigo while a classic cocktail lands in front of you.
Step out of the lift and you are already outside, with nothing but a slim balustrade between you and the skyline. Tables are scattered across different levels, the central bar glows in the middle and a soft breeze moves between the towers. Early in the evening the crowd is a mix of hotel guests, Bangkok regulars and couples lining up along the edge for sunset photos.
As the night goes on, the atmosphere shifts from gentle sundowner to full evening out. The music gets a little louder, the lights a little warmer and the whole rooftop takes on that “special occasion” energy – the kind of place people choose for proposals, anniversaries and first nights in the city.
Vertigo & Moon Bar share the same rooftop deck: Vertigo as the open-air grill restaurant, Moon Bar as the dedicated bar area next to it. You can come just for drinks – martinis, whisky sours, champagne and a handful of signature sundowners – or book a full dinner a few steps away.
Service is classic five-star hotel: hosts at the entrance, a clear smart-casual dress code and a team that is used to guests marking big moments. Cocktails sit firmly in the premium price bracket, but they are well built and come with that “once in a while” panorama included. If the weather turns, the indoor Vertigo TOO one floor below offers a similar view behind glass.
